Dodge Durango keeps the Hemi V8 alive

Just as many of us predicted, Dodge has decided to continue shipping the Durango with a Hemi V8 under the hood, even though the SUV formally bowed out with as many as three “final editions” last year.

The not-so-unexpected 2025 Durango model is coming to the market with three powertrain options to choose from. The R/T spec gets a 5.7-liter, naturally aspirated Hemi V8 rated at 365 PS (360 hp / 268 kW).

Those looking for the most power will be interested in the Hellcat spec, which packs a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 and 720 PS (710 hp / 530 kW).

On the affordable side of the spectrum, there’s a spec called GT. It offers a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 and 299 PS (295 hp / 220 kW).
