Exeed has a couple of SUVs and just as many wagons planned for launch

Exeed, a premium automaker from the Chery group, has announced four new cars due out in one to two years: the ES7 GT, ES8, ET8, and ET9. Designed to “reboot” the image of the struggling brand, they may later ship with solid-state batteries to further increase their appeal.

A pre-production version of the ET8 full-size SUV debuted this fall, but current images suggest that it has been seriously reworked to look more up-to-date and in line with the latest Exeed brand language. As for the ET9, the even-larger flagship of the new lineup, it has been depicted with Rolls-Royce-style rear-hinged doors, four-wheel steering and an oxygenation system for the interior.

The ES7 GT is what the company calls its first-ever Shooting Brake. As such, it packs four e-motors, sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in three seconds flat and handles like a sports car. Along with these bold claims, Exeed also says it is designed to be capable of 1,700 km (1,056 miles) per battery charge – quite a lot to deliver on, to be honest.

The other wagon, the ES8, is going to linger in pre-production until the solid-state power cell technology is ready. It is supposed to ship with a Rhino battery pack, six-piston brake calipers, rear-wheel steering and up to 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) of range.

All launch dates remain unannounced, but Chery says it hopes to reboot Exeed in 10–20 months total, so the next year promises to be packed with interesting premieres.
