Hardly had the flames died down after Liberty Walk introduced the world to its vision of the Ferrari F40 when the controversial JDM tuner went after another Prancing Horse – a 512 TR this time around.
Just to clarify: the 512 TR (see video) is not the same as Testarossa, although the example shown here definitely goes for that impression. The scope and nature of the modifications are nothing unexpected for anyone who has seen a Liberty Walk project before. The arches are cut and brutally flared, the hardware is exposed, and any understatement the coupe may have had is gone out of the window. The nose flaunts a gargantuan spoiler lip on a modded apron, while the tail sports a diffuser and a wide ducktail spoiler.
A glance at the arches reveals a set of LD97 forged wheels wrapped in Advan rubber. The announcement said an FI Exhaust system was installed, but whether this is the case or not, the tips look indistinguishable from stock. Last but not least, the suspension is slammed and the windows all around are tinted.
Liberty Walk neglected to mention any interior or drivetrain modifications. In its factory guise, the 512 TR packs a 4.9-liter V12 rated at 428 PS (422 hp / 315 kW) and 490 Nm (361 lb-ft) of torque. It concludes the standard sprint in 4.8 seconds.
