A painstakingly restored 1972 Ford Bronco went up on sale at Bring-a-Trailer several days ago and ultimately found a buyer willing to fork over U.S. $240,000 for it.
The restomod was built by Californian shop Rock Bottom Offroad. The SUV ended up with a new frame and four-link suspension at both ends. It received robust Currie RockJob 60 axles, performance brakes and a sturdy roll cage for rock crawling. The arches were flared, and 17-inch KMC Grenade wheels made it inside along with 37-inch Milestar Patagonia MT2 tires.
A five-liter, naturally aspirated V8 slotted in under the hood. A six-speed automatic gearbox and dual-range transfer case were entrusted with conveying the momentum. The interior was also drastically improved with leather-clad bucket seats, an Alpine infotainment system and other goodies.
