Two low-mileage Ford GT cars from different generations, which used to belong to the same owner and ordered in a matching design, will cross the auction block in January. The estimated lot price is 1.6 million USD, but the seller says you can buy just one if you want to.
The first car was made 18 years ago and goes for $500,000, not least because it has fewer than 4,000 kilometers (2,500 miles) under its belt. The seller claims it is also fairly rare even by GT standards: only 16 such supercars were allegedly made in 2005 with an exterior design like this (meaning no traditional livery stripes). It also has grey brake calipers and BBS wheels. A 5.4-liter V8 under the hood churns out 557 PS (550 hp / 410 kW) and takes the car from standstill to 96.6 km/h (60 mph) in 3.3 seconds.
The other coupe is a relatively recent 2018MY example. It comes with carbon-ceramic brakes and a titanium exhaust system, but otherwise looks the same as its counterpart. A more modern 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the engine bay produces a superior 656 PS (647 hp / 483 kW), letting the car zap 0-60 mph in 3 seconds flat.
Add the exclusivity value to the fact that the 2018 Ford GT has just 45 km (28 miles) on the odometer, and the selling estimate of $1.1 million might seem somewhat justified.
