Gordon Murray T.33 gets a Spider version

Gordon Murray Automotive has introduced a Spider variant of its T.33 supercar. The removable top consists of two carbon-fiber panels available in a variety of colors. Those in the mood for a breezy ride under open sky can quickly stow the top into the frunk.

GMA says that the new top necessitated changing the structure of the car body starting from the c-pillar. The interior stayed the same as in the fixed-top version, though. A large analog tachometer sitting in the middle of the dashboard was revised to display up to 11,100 RPM. Two extra displays at the sides can be used to access the multimedia system and the climate controls.

The steering wheel is made of carbon fiber and trimmed with leather. The two bucket seats for the passengers use the same lightweight material in their construction and sport Alcantara upholstery.

The T.33 Spider rides on forged alloy wheels and uses the same 3.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 as its coupe counterpart. The output peaks at 615 PS (607 hp / 452 kW).
