How much is this dapper, Buick-cosplaying GMC Sierra worth to you?

The owner of this 34-year-old GMC Sierra pickup had it styled after the famous Buick Grand National back in the day, but couldn’t sell it for a half-decent price last weekend.

The 1990 Sierra truck cost its original buyer $20,600, as the documents included in the auction lot suggest. Not being fond of its exterior, the buyer also grabbed a full Tridon STT body kit for it, paying another $12,820. It consisted of a new front bumper with built-in fog lights, side skirts and flared fenders, a stylish-looking rear spoiler and a custom tonneau cover. Aside from these relatively practical items, it included a weird-looking sun visor and a number of purely decorative parts.

The engine was left alone. It could output 234 PS (230 hp / 171 kW) in its glory days ans should still be able to deliver about as much despite having 61,300 miles (nearly 100,000 km) under the belt. The seller claims the powertrain was well-maintained and underwent an overhaul before the sale along with the suspension and the brakes.

Despite this, the bidding barely reached $9,100 last weekend, which was below reserve.
