Meet the Honda S7, a mid-size SUV EV for China

Customers in the PRC may already get their Honda S7 starting from 259,900 CNY.

The crossover is 4,750 x 1,930 x 1,625 mm (185.6 x 75.4 x 63.4 inches) large with a 2,930-mm (114.5-inch) wheelbase. It wears 19-inch wheels in the base trim and 21-inch ones in the top spec.

Displays are abundant in the interior with a compact digital dash sitting close to the windshield, a large infotainment display in the middle, a HUD and two screens built into the door panels serving as virtual rearview mirrors.

In its most basic form, the S7 offers a single e-motor with 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) going to the rear end. The 309,900 CNY top spec adds a second motor to the front axle and ramps up the output to 476 PS (469 hp / 350 kW).

There is only one battery pack listed so far. It stores up to 89.8 kilowatt-hours and delivers 650 km (404 miles) of CLTC-rated range in the base spec. The AWD version is understandably hungrier, so it maxes out at 620 km (385 miles) per charge. In any case, replenishing 80% of the charge will take 36 minutes on average, Honda claims.
