Jeep Renegade leaves USA and Canada

According to Automotive News, Jeep will be removing its compact crossover Renegade from the North American markets due to a consistently low and declining demand. This leaves the $29,995 Jeep Compass at the bottom of the lineup.

The Renegade complemented the automaker’s portfolio just seven years ago. Jeep managed to sell more than 97,000 units in 2018, but the popularity of the car has since begun to decline. The sales dropped to a meager 27,500 units in 2022, and the current year is shaping up to be roughly 30% worse still.

Even so, the Renegade will continue to be made for other markets where the sales are still decent, including select Latin American countries and the entire EU.
