2025 Kia K8: first photos

Kia has posted the first images of its updated K8 sedan that phased out the K7/Cadenza three years ago. Now looking in line with the company’s latest design language, it is expected to debut in August without any major changes in the cabin or under the hood.

The five-meter (16.4-ft) long sedan ended up with an extensively revised front end. A new bumper with a larger air intake, a laconic radiator grille and a sculpted hood make it look much more modern, as do the completely new headlights. The main headlamps are now vertical and reside at the ends of the bumper, the DRLs are Y-shaped, and there is a thin LED stripe running from one headlight to another.

Much has changed at the rear end, too. The taillights were reshaped to correspond to their counterparts, and a connecting stripe was added. The bumper also received its share of updates.

The interior remains to be revealed. We expect new trim options and improved infotainment technology there, but in the accompanying video teaser, Kia also briefly mentions a starry sky. For all we know, the new K8 might get a LED headliner option, like some Rolls-Royces.

As for the powertrains, it is probably safe to say there will be no big changes. All major engine options currently on sale should remain available with only minor efficiency improvements. Kia offers the current K8 with different displacement options and a hybrid powertrain.
