Koenigsegg further improves Gemera aero

The Swedish hypercar manufacturer is working on a body kit for the Gemera four-seater that’s meant to enhance its drag performance. It’s called the F10 and so far doesn’t have an availability date or price.

In the meantime, the company wants to keep the few Gemera owners invested with these pre-production photos. The vehicle is shown wearing a different front bumper with side blades and canards. The side sills also sport winglets of their own, and the fixed rear wing looks impressively large.

Koenigsegg says the emphasis is on downforce this time around. This usually means better handling at the expense of top speed. The car wearing the kit is shown on the racetrack, so it checks out.

No mention was made of the powertrain, suggesting that the Gemera stays true to its hybrid system composed of a 5.0-liter V8 and a Dark Matter-series electric motor. Working together, the impressive duo sends 2,300 PS (2,269 hp / 1,692 kW) and up to 2,750 Nm (2,028 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels.
