Leaked: Is this really the revived Lamborghini Countach?

Instagram channel CocheSpias has a track record of posting confirmed leaked photos of cars, and its latest reveal concerns the recently announced comeback of the Lamborghini Countach.

The person who posted the photos claims it was made during an official pre-production ad shoot. The company has not reacted so far.

A closer look at the pictures suggests that the new Countach will go on sale as a production supercar inspired by the legendary coupe from the past. Similarities will extend as far as the rectangular headlights, edgy front bumper, complex air intakes, and taillights with LED sections. The original rear wing is conspicuously missing, but other than that, the leak seems consistent with the teasers posted by Lamborghini itself.

Technical specifications remain to be announced. Some suppose that the coupe may ship with an AWD hybrid powertrain incorporating a 6.5-liter V12 rated around 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW). The production run could be limited to 112 units.
