In the latest press release from Lamborghini, the supercar maker points out a lively and lucrative first quarter of 2023 and essentially confirms that the Huracan model is retiring for good. All production slots until 2024 have been reserved, and the supercar is set to retire that year.
This likely also means that there will be no new special editions and spin-offs. That said, we wouldn’t be too surprised if it turns out that Lamborghini had earlier reserved a handful of slots for a still-unannounced ‘farewell edition’ or something like that.
It is also official now that in 2024, Lambo will be unveiling a new supercar powered by a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. Like the Revuelto before it, this Huracan successor will utilize an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission.
