Norwegians are getting a 1,500-PS Lambo Huracan ready to rumble

Norway-based tuning company Zyrus Engineering has announced the Strada R³, its latest custom-built hypercar and the first one to pack 1,500 metric horsepower. While not directly mentioned, it seems that the donor vehicle is the now-discontinued Lamborghini Huracan.

According to Zyrus, the extreme street-legal ride will utilize a V10 for propulsion – same as the Huracan. It will also weigh just a touch over 1.4 metric tons (3,096 pounds) and will generate up to 1.5 metric tons (3,307 pounds) as downforce thanks to a bespoke aero kit.

The exterior of the car has some obvious similarities with the Huracan, but also some notable differences. For example, it sports a distinct front end and a rather aggressive body kit dominated by a large rear wing. The DRLs and the taillights boast X-shaped patterns, and that’s about all we can tell at this early point.

It’s still unknown when the Strada R³ may reach production and how much it may cost. The tuning company’s previous work was the LP1020 Stimolante (see video), a 1200-PS (1,184-hp / 883-kW) Huracan build that managed to stay street-legal despite its wild body kit and other track-friendly add-ons. It debuted around five years ago priced from €595,000.
