Mansory showcases a Defender project

Famous tuning company Mansory has presented its latest work, a seriously redesigned five-door Land Rover Defender. Aside from new looks and cabin, the SUV ended up with a robust engine tune that saw its sprint time go down by half a second.

Starting with the exterior, it sports new bumpers, radiator grille, flared fenders and new door trims. There’s also a diffuser-like trim at the rear end, a roof spoiler, and a light bar at the front. All these new body parts are made of carbon.

The SUV rides on rather unusual 24-inch wheels shod in 295/30 tires and giving off Mercedes-Maybach vibes. Inside, black leather goes along with Alcantara and body-matching bronze accents. The same color inserts can be found on individual controls in the cabin.

Mansory didn’t say anything about the engine. In all likelihood, the company used its 5.0-liter turbocharged V8 tuned up to 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 870 Nm (642 lb-ft) of torque. This means the Defender should be able to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds and ultimately reach 250 km/h (155 mph).
