Lexus TX presents interior

The U.S. office of Lexus has posted the first interior pics of the upcoming TX SUV. Apparently, the new crossover is a six-seater by design and has the same architecture as the Toyota Grand Highlander (see video). It is set to premiere on June 8, 2023, and compete with the likes of the Cadillac XT6 and Infiniti QX60 when it comes out.

One of the images shows the interior with six seats arranged in three rows; the Grand Highlander has a similar version. The front sets appear to have enhanced lateral support.

Another pic focuses on a door panel with a horizontal armrest and a triangular insert bearing the Mark Levinson badge (premium car audio manufacturer). The inner handle has a button you are supposed to press with your thumb to open, as opposed to the common pull-to-open design. The locks may be power-controlled.

The same image reveals a fragment of the dashboard with a raised middle part and Highlander-style controls. Thus far, only the trim looks different.

It remains to be seen what powertrain options will be available. Lexus had earlier patented the trademarks TX350, TX550h and TX550h+ in the United States.
