The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P is a stylish hybrid saloon for China

Geely-owned car brand Lynk & Co has launched a new plug-in hybrid sedan on its domestic market. Called the 07 EM-P, it is available since May 20 in three trim variants priced from 169,800 to 189,800 Yuan (U.S. $24–26,800).

The 07 EM-P is the marque’s eight production vehicle so far, but only its second sedan after the smaller model 03. It shares much of the design with the 08 SUV and runs on the same chassis known as the CMA Evo. It is 4,827 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,480 mm tall with 2,843 mm of wheelbase. The trunk fits 450 liters of cargo.

Customers can choose from five body colors (blue, silver, grey, black and white) and two wheel sizes (18” and 19”). The interior features a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a 15.4-inch infotainment display that can be tilted towards the front passenger seat, a large projected HUD, and two removable 12.6-inch tablets for those in the back row (paid option). Further options include heating, ventilation, massage and setting memory for the seats, adaptive cruise control, surround-view cameras, and a handful of smart assists.

The powertrain incorporates a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 163 PS (161 hp / 120 kW) and 255 Nm (188 lb-ft) of torque and a single electric motor rated at 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft). Their combined output reaches 381 PS (376 hp / 280 kW). A lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack stores up to 18.99 kilowatt-hours of energy and yields 126 km (78 miles) of CLTC-rated electric range. Charging it from 30 to 80 percent takes 27 minutes. With a maxed-out gas tank and a fully charged battery, the car can go on for 1,400 km (870 miles).
