Hymer announces 3 Sprinter-based campervans for 2020

Hymer, a German manufacturer of motorhomes and campervans, has announced three new models for its 2020 lineup. The Duocar S, the Tramp S 695 and the Free S 600 are all based off the latest Mercedes Sprinter and should become available next year, although prices remain unknown.

The Hymer Duocar S is 5,930 mm (19.46 ft.) long and 2,030 mm (6.66 ft.) wide. While relatively compact, the van has wide, tinted windows that should let just the right amount of sunlight in. The interior provides accommodation for four people and houses a kitchenette fitted with a gas stove, a sink, a 70l fridge, a bathroom with a WC, a wardrobe and a storage area. You may pay extra for a rising roof or if you would like the unused beds remodeled into something different.

The Hymer Free S 600 also accommodates up to four passengers. The living space sports an ‘oakwood’ theme and offers compact foldable beds, storage racks for large items such as bikes or surfboards, a 90l fridge and a 100l fresh water tank. The bathroom is present, but you need to go outdoors to use the shower.

The Hymer Tramp S 695 is a whopping 7,390 mm (24.25 ft.) long and houses a sitting room with a table, a bedroom at the rear end that you can separate from the rest of the car with an optional partition wall, a spacious 152-liter fridge, and diesel-powered central heating.

Except for the Duocar S, all conversions require a FWD variant of the Sprinter.
