Mansory has unveiled a heavily customized Mercedes-Benz G-Class ordered by a UAE customer. In addition to the usual upgrades, the SUV landed with suicide rear doors not unlike those of Rolls-Royce cars.
The tuning company pointed out that this particular feature requires much more effort to implement than one might think just by looking at it. A team of specialists had to mirror the entire door mechanism, including the locks and the handles, as well as move the hinges and install them with millimeter precision on the other side.
As a result, access to the rear seats should be easier in this version of the car. The custom G-Wagen has two individual seats in the back with a massive console separating them instead of a single bench seat. Mansory stressed that it could install suicide doors on any G-Class, including tuned, AMG and even armored versions.
Elsewhere, the project car features an aggressive carbon-fiber body lot, new wheels and side pipes exiting in front of the rear wheels. The latter means passengers have to avoid touching the pipes when getting in and out of the vehicle.
Power comes from a stock 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that Mansory can boost up to 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW).
