Sales of the new Nissan Rogue (also known as the X-Trail in some countries) have started in the United States. Other markets should follow soon.
Customers can choose from four available trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Prices range from $26,650 to $36,830. SV Premium and SL Premium packages are available for $2,660 and $1,320, respectively. Higher trims feature induction charging, HUD displays, three-zone climate control, smart key fobs and the Nissan Safety Shield 360 package. The latter includes traffic sign recognition, ProPilot Assist cruise control system with basic self-driving functionality, and so on.
Only one engine is available so far: 2.5L non-turbo four-cylinder rated at 181 hp (136 kW) and 245 Nm (180 lb-ft) of torque. A continuously variable transmission sends the power to the front axle, and AWD is not an option.
Production in Smyrna, Tennessee began two weeks ago, with the company highlighting the fact that it uses plenty of robots in its industrial processes.
