Nissan’s Nismo division has presented its own take on the company’s newest sports car, Z, landing it with aero, suspension, interior, and engine upgrades. The sales are scheduled for this fall.
The car still uses the same V6 as before, but fine-tuned turbochargers, improved cooling and new ECU settings enable it to pump out healthy 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW) and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft). The original maxed out at 405 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) and 475 Nm (350 lb-ft).
The driver mode selector has gained a new track-focused mode called Sport+. Further technical upgrades include tweaked springs and shocks, as well as new performance brakes.
The aerodynamic kit is also new and generates more downforce than the original one. Included are a revised front bumper, a massive splitter, side sills, a rear diffuser and a spoiler. The Nismo edition also rides on 19-inch Rays wheels.
A peek inside reveals Recaro bucket seats wrapped in Alcantara.
