RM Sotheby’s impending auction in Arizona will feature a 2022 Porsche 911 completely rebuilt by Gunther Werks. The estimates lie between U.S. $900,000 and $1,100,000.
The car belongs to the Rennsport Aventura lineup of 25 units and was the final example built. It is based on a 911 (993) chassis, but features numerous carbon-fiber reinforcements, aggressive-looking carbon bodywork, LED lighting all around, JRZ coilovers and forged arms in the suspension, high-end Brembo brakes and magnesium alloy wheels. The interior is just as dramatically different with only around 20% parts still stock, according to Gunther.
And then there is the powertrain, which was rebuilt by Rothsport Road and Race. The 3.6-liter flat-six engine was stroked out to full four liters of displacement and had all its components replaced with heavy-duty forged counterparts. A 911 (996) GT3 intercooler and a new ECU were also installed for better efficiency. The result is 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW) and 423 Nm (312 lb-ft) of torque heading for the wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transmission featuring a lightweight flywheel and clutch.
Back when it was built, the original owner paid $780,000 for this Rennsport Aventura. It has stood largely unused since then.
