Dongfeng sub-brand Forthing has released the first images of its next production car, a large all-electric sedan called the S7. CarNewsChina says it will cover up to 500 km (310 miles) on a charge and should eventually go on sale in other countries as well.
The photos depict a car with an embossed hood, a sleek body, flush door handles and a bi-color finish. The slim headlights are framed with upright “eyelash” DRLs sitting at both sides of the front bumper.
According to the certification sheet as quoted by CarNewsChina, the Forthing S7 is 4,935 mm (192.8 inches) long, 1,915 mm (74.8 in) wide and 1,495 mm (58.4 in) tall with a wheelbase of 2,915 mm (113.9 in). This is close to EVs like the Xiaomi SU7 and the Zeekr 001. In its base spec, the S7 will rely on a single electric motor rated at 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW). The top speed will apparently be capped at 160 km/h (99 mph).
