Suzuki Jimny puts on its best Jeep Cherokee impression

If you are interested in the Suzuki Jimny, you may have heard that the compact Japanese off-roader was beloved on the tuning scene thanks to the ease with which you could stylize it after a Mercedes G-Class or a Land Rover Defender. Well, apparently, it makes a compelling Jeep Cherokee XJ as well.

Although most of these Jimny styling kits come from Japanese tuner DAMD, this particular one is made by Marvelous. Long story short, the name checks out: the company produced a very convincing and aesthetically pleasing baby Cherokee XJ, reminding the world of the car that went out of production some 22 years ago.

The body kit consists of unpainted plastic bumpers for both ends, a radiator grille with six slots (the classic Jeep grille has seven), and optional wheel arch extensions. The standard version comes with an optional 38mm (1.5-in) lift kit, while the widebody version makes use of a bigger 76mm (3-in) lift kit that lets you put larger aluminum wheels into the arches, shod in Yokohama Mud/Terrain tires in the images here.

Pre-orders are already being processed. In U.S. dollar terms, the full standard kit will set you back around $17,000 and the widebody one will be $20,500. That said, you can order all parts separately.
