Wrap shop finds Tesla Cybertruck fenders to be easily removable

The Tesla Cybertruck is being marketed as an exceptionally robust vehicle capable of withstanding gunfire (and, to an extent, we have seen it to be true). However, in this latest video by LA-based shop Wrap Bullys, you can see for yourself just how trivial it is to detach its fender flares. You can do away with them in several seconds!

Apparently, tugging the fender towards you while taking care not to touch the side cameras lets you pull it off with minimal effort. The inner wheel arch trim is attached to the body via several bolts and is just as easily removable.

Taking off the side mirrors is a slightly more complicated process, but it’s still very doable without any special skills. Just peel off the lining, unscrew the three screws underneath it and click the cable clasp open.

It is quite possible that Tesla designed these quick-release fender flares on purpose. With a body composed of ultra-durable stainless-steel panels, the Cybertruck cannot be sprayed with a traditional car paint, but you can still wrap it. Tesla is offering such an option at the factory for a cool $6,500, but your options right now are limited to white and black. When wrapping a car, having easily detachable fenders helps a great deal.

Still, some commenters have already voiced the legitimate concern that petty thieves may find them an easy target. Not only that, but a few minutes of brisk off-road driving may also leave you without your fenders, and that’s hardly a good thing.
