A Toyota enthusiast in the United States launched a petition demanding that Toyota bring back the 3.5-liter V6 option for the Camry sedan in the next model year release.
Although the latest Camry (model year 2023) essentially represents a major facelift of the old XV70 generation, it can no longer be obtained with more than four cylinders under the hood – not even in the USA.
Apparently, the petition was started on Change.org in November last year, but has so far stayed mostly invisible. Even now that a number of mass media have posted stories about it, the signature count hovers at a less-than-reassuring 161.
