The Toyota FJ Cruiser is truly long-lived by the automotive industry standards, and we have already lost count how many times its history came to an end only to continue elsewhere. The model was taken off production in the USA in 2014 and in Japan three years after that, but it stayed in Saudi Arabia.
Now, the production in the Middle East region is also nearing its conclusion. An authorized Toyota dealership there has just announced that December 2022 would be the last production month in the lifecycle of the FJ Cruiser.
Before it can go, however, the company will be issuing 1,000 special cars united under the banner of a farewell series. There are still no photos available, but we believe it will be similar to the JDM Toyota JF Cruiser Final Edition seen in the gallery and the video here.
