Toyota’s IMV 0 mini-truck concept (see video) has received a mass-market implementation called the Hilux Champ. It is already available to pre-order in Thailand starting from 459,000 Baht.
The vehicle is available in multiple flavors from bare chassis to a fully custom build. Third-party coachbuilders in the country are already offering camper, ambulance and mobile café conversions for the model, among other options.
For the powertrain, the Hilux Champ can get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, its larger 2.7-liter counterpart, or a diesel one. The drive is fixed at the rear axle with no further options, but you can at least choose between six-speed manual and six-speed automatic. There is also a long wheelbase available.
