Used Land Cruiser 200 costs more in Russia than new Land Cruiser 300

A 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 with 2,329 km (1,447 miles) on the odometer is available to buy in Moscow for 8.9 million RUB, or 122,375 USD. To put things into perspective, the new Land Cruiser 300 costs an equivalent of 77,310 – 106,383 USD in that country.

The seller claims the car was acquired without a bank loan and has a clean record. The only owner had it outfitted with an aluminum skid plate, a trailer hook, a bull bar with auxiliary lights, heavy-duty rear bumper moldings, and metallic running boards. He also sealed the body against rust.

The interior comes wrapped in black leather with fake wood inserts. The seats on the second row still retain their OEM delivery covers.

A 4.5-liter turbo diesel V8 under the hood drives all four wheels with 235 PS (232 hp / 173 kW) and 615 Nm (454 lb-ft) of torque through a six-speed A/T.

As atrocious as used car prices have become lately, there is still no denying that the Land Cruiser 300 is nearly impossible to buy now at its MSRP. Toyota dealerships in Russia are offering it at premiums reaching 3 million RUB, or 41,250 USD. The buyer usually gets a number of cheap, non-OEM options bundled with the purchase. Insisting on getting just the most basic trim puts you in a queue around a year long.
