Toyota Land Cruiser FJ presents exterior, cabin and specs

Judging by these images of what looks like a leaked pamphlet, the rumored smallest Toyota Land Cruiser is coming to us in a few months.

Like the rumors said, the car is called “Land Cruiser FJ”. Contrary to our earlier expectations, it seems to be a serious body-on-frame off-roader and not just an electric CUV like the Compact Cruiser EV Concept introduced a while ago. It runs on a GA-F platform with the same solid beam axle at the back as its senior cousins – the Prado and the LC 300.

Based on the leak, the FJ also takes advantage of a permanent AWD system with a 40:60 per-axle distribution of power. It also benefits from a reduction gear, a front sway bar that you can disengage, an interaxle diff lock and a rear diff lock.

On the outside, it looks a bit like a downsized Prado with round headlights. The interior appears to be all-new, though. As for the detailed specifications, they will have to wait until launch.
