The fourth generation of the Supra may be no longer in production, but its prices just continue to climb and finding a stock example becomes more and more challenging. The car you see here is obviously far removed from stock, too, and it packs north of 1,000 horsepower under that fancy-looking hood.
Californian tuner Strasse Sport gave the exterior a fresh Anthracite Grey paint job and replaced the hood cover with an IBS 3000 GT Zero aftermarket option. It also put Toyota deflectors on the doors and swapped the stock side mirrors out for Ganador Super ones.
The wheels at the front were replaced with 18-inch Volk Racing TE37 rollers. For the rear axle, the owner went with teensy 15-inch rollers wrapped in soft Mickey Thompson 275/60-15 tires. Revel springs were used to drop the ride height a fair bit.
Modifications continue inside the cabin, which greets the viewer with Recaro SR3 seats draped in fabric upholstery, a fire extinguisher and a telemetry display. The latter is not just for show, either, as the stock 2JZ six-pot under the hood rocks a massive upgrade letting it push out more than 1,000 horsepower (750 kilowatts) and around 1,400 Nm (1,044 lb-ft) of torque. The six-speed manual transmission benefits from a stronger clutch, and the drive stays on the rear axle.
