VW Caddy PanAmericana debuts with specs and versions

Volkswagen may be redirecting most of its resources towards electric car R&D right now, but it looks like the automotive giant would not want to neglect and abandon its niche products, either. The new Caddy PanAmericana van is another testimony to that.

The refreshed van boasts off-road styling and comes in passenger and commercial variants. It has some extra equipment pre-installed, such as underbody protection and meaty all-terrain tires.

Wheels come sized 17 inches in diameter and finished in two colors, while the body and the rear bumper flaunt large “PanAmericana” captions. LED lighting all around comes standard, and exterior finishes include bronze, light blue and silver.

There are three power options to choose from: a gasoline engine rated at 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW), a diesel one good for 102 PS (100 hp / 75 kW), and another diesel boosted to 122 PS (120 hp / 90 kW). The drive can be on the front axle or both, and you can choose between manual and DCT for gearbox.
