VW T6.1 rehearses drift car stance

Spacious, properly powered and pleasant to drive – the Volkswagen T6.1 is quite the crowd favorite in its market segment. But driving enjoyment is subjective, and there people around willing to drive a slammed van. The latest H&R spring kit targets this specific audience.

The height-adjustable coil-overs are compatible with all 2019MY and newer Multivan, Transporter, Kombi, California and California Beach models equipped with 2WD or all-wheel drive. Off-road suspension is the only type not supported. Once installed, the new springs drop the ride height between 65 and 90 mm (2.54” – 3.52”) on the front axle and between 60 and 80 mm (2.34” – 3.12”) on the rear axle.

Some commenters have suggested using the stanced Transporter as a drift car, and while we cannot guarantee the success of that endeavor, cornering and overtaking at higher speeds should definitely become better with the new springs than the stock ones.

The entire kit costs €1,537 sans installation. You may also opt for regular shortened springs that drop the height by 30-35 mm (1.2 – 1.4 inches, depends on your vehicle specification). These cost only €337.
