Voyah starts Passion L sedan preorders in China

The Voyah Passion L isn’t just longer than the regular Passion saloon, but sports a different design inside and out, and comes with its own list of available options. You can reserve a spot in the waiting queue for 2,000 CNY while full pricing remains unknown, CarNewsChina reports.

Interestingly, the car is only 45 mm (1.8”) longer than the regular Voyah Passion and has only 10 mm (0.4”) of extra wheelbase, barely a difference from the standard version. To be specific, it is 5,125 mm (200.2”) long and has 3,010 mm (117.6”) between the axles. Stacked headlights and a new radiator grille with 34 vertical chrome bars make it easy to tell from the standard version. The rest of the exterior stays largely the same.

Inside, the front passenger display is gone, and so is the HVAC touchscreen. To compensate, the main infotainment display now measures 16.1 inches corner-to-corner and boasts 3K resolution. The hardware runs on Huawei’s latest operating system, the HarmonySpace 5.0. The center console is much cleaner than the old version with nothing on it besides two cup holders and a two-phone wireless charger.

Trim options include an audio system with up to 23 speakers, ventilated/massaged seats (available for all rows), a 6.6-liter mini-fridge and 256-color ambient lighting. Unlike the standard Passion sedan, the L version gets the newest Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 package and can drive itself thanks to a LiDAR, three 4D radars and 29 other sensors.

Powering the Passion L is a hybrid system composed of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and two e-motors. The engine delivers 150 PS (148 hp / 112 hp), while the motors add a combined 517 PS (510 hp / 380 kW).

A 62-kWh battery pack supplies up to 410 km (254 miles) of CLTC-rated all-electric range, but max out the tank and you’ll be looking at 1,400 km (870 miles). Charging the battery from a 5C-rated charging outlet gets it from 20 to 80 percent full in 12 minutes.
