Acura rolls out the Performance EV Concept
The Performance EV seen here is a preview of an electric coupe-SUV that Acura plans to bring to the market based on a brand-new architecture.
Designed by the company’s Los Angeles design HQ, the car has a front end inspired by modern hovercrafts. In turn, the rear end is supposed to resemble the second generation of the NSX. A matte white paintjob and 23-inch wheels round off the styling.
The production car is expected to arrive in the showrooms in a year. It will be the first all-electric vehicle to go into production at the Honda factory in Ohio. The company doesn’t say how many traits it may inherit from the concept, but we may safely look forward to seeing similar design cues implemented in new Acura cars over the next few years.
