Alfa Romeo GT Super Farina costs Ferrari money, looks the part

Totem Automobili, a renowned restorer and tuner of Alfa Romeo vehicles, has presented its most exclusive restomod to date: the Farina. It is coming in a production batch of 40 units priced from €539,000 before any options.

The company starts with its own Alfa Romeo GT Super build (see video). It encases the car in a semi-gloss all-carbon body that looks laconic and clean despite numerous retro design features. Round headlights and taillights lend it a special kind of old-timer charm, but the whole design still comes across as modern. The example seen here wears a Luci del Bosco brown paintwork with gold-tinted wheels, but customers are invited to choose virtually any color combo they like.

Like with most restomods, the interior is a place where you can express your individuality the most. Totem suggests doing so with the finest Nappa leather, artificial suede and accents of carbon fiber, aluminum and steel. A wooden knob on the transmission lever won’t go amiss, either.

Last but not least, the car loses its less-than-stellar OEM engine in favor of a custom block. Dual turbos drive the 2.8-liter V6 to 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. That’s plenty of thrust for a coupe this light, but if you want more, you can get up to 750 PS (740 hp / 560 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft).

The Alfa Romeo GT Super Farina is already available for preordering.
