Audi A6 E-Tron spied testing in the snow, flashes production headlights

Judging by these spy shots of the new Audi A6 E-Tron, the test car was driven in freezing weather to see how well its main components, units and systems performed.

The prototype EV has split headlights with the main headlamps installed under the DRLs, unlike on the concept car. A closer look reveals that the lights are rather slim and resemble those of the latest BMW 7-Series. As for the rear end, it mostly stays true to the concept version, but the taillights seem to occupy less space than before.

Like the A7 Sportback, the new E-Tron sports has a slanted coupe-like roof. It comes based on the same PPE platform as the Q6 E-Tron. The power output is unknown, but the concept car had two motors rated at 476 PS (469 hp / 350 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. Its battery range was estimated at 700 km (435 miles).
