Rumor: Audi TT might go all-electric

A sports car, whether a coupe or a roadster, is something many of us keep dreaming about for our entire lives. But dreaming is one thing, and actually having to drive one every single day is another thing altogether. This is the area where spacious and practical SUVs currently reign supreme, and then even those that conform to the latest environmental standards.

With only 8,756 coupes and 3,362 roadsters sold globally since the beginning of the year, the Audi TT has lost its popularity quite dramatically, giving rise to a rumor that the next TT might be… a hybrid or all-electric SUV.

The alleged leak calls this newcomer the ‘Audi ettron’ and claims that it will become the marque single most compact crossover utility vehicle in the Audi lineup. Its cabin will reportedly be devoid of hardware buttons, which will be replaced with sensor displays and touch panels.
