Sales of the Chery Arrizo 8 saloon in the Middle Kingdom are already underway, with the saloon priced between the equivalents of $15,200 and $18,600 USD.
The car is 4.78 meters (186.7 inches) long and slots in between the latest Toyota Corolla and Camry in terms of size. Despite this circumstance, it is being advertised as a business sedan on its domestic market. For now, only the range-topping specification is available, which is a 1.6-liter turbo engine making 197 PS (194 hp / 144 kW) in tandem with a seven-speed, dual-wet-clutch transmission.
Later on, Chery plans to introduce a 1.5L turbo spec and CVT as a gearbox option.
