Cupra Formentor squats on H&R suspension springs

The hardcore Cupra Formentor VZ5 hits the wheels with up to 390 PS (385 hp / 287 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque, sprinting 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.2 seconds. With stats like these, it makes sense to try and lower the center of gravity of the SUV. The latest suspension upgrade from H&R does exactly this.

The springs are designed to work seamlessly with OEM shock absorbers, whether standard or adaptive. The shortened springs bring the Formentor 20 mm (0.8 inches) closer to the asphalt at the front axle and 15 mm (0.6 inches) closer at the rear end. There is no adjusting the height, but drivers will appreciate less rolling, improved cornering and a sportier overall appearance of their cars.

The full set costs €359 in Germany where it is made. Assorted wheel spacers are also available, starting from €104 for a pair of 16mm (0.63in) spacers.
