Ferrari’s first EV reveals an Apple iPhone-inspired interior

When Ferrari hired ex-Apple designer Johnny Ive to conceptualize the cabin of its first all-electric supercar, some of us jokingly suggested that it would look like one of the early-era iPhones he designed. Well, look at these official images and tell us the jokers were wrong!

The Italian automaker’s firstborn EV will be known as Luce, which is Italian for light. As you can see, its inner space is rather richly decorated with leather, glass applications and polished aluminum trims. Gorilla Glass, the material that covers most smartphone screens these days, is found on more than 40 individual controls throughout the cabin, from large touchscreens to small buttons. The central display has a handle and swivels to face either the driver or the passenger. Note especially the clock face in its upper-right corner: rather than being a simple digital widget, it is an actual chronometer inserted into the display.

The gauges are digital, but stylized to resemble their analog predecessors. The transmission tunnel houses two cup holders, a drive mode selector and power window controls. Near the end of the gallery above, you will find a more detailed image of the tunnel that suggests that the Luce is a four-seater by design, not a two-seater like some suggested.

Ferrari’s first EV was spotted on the public roads of Italy in the fall of 2025. The premiere date remains to be announced, but the company assures us that its other new vehicles will share the same design language.
