Almost never-driven Ferrari FXX K Evo poised to fetch €6M+

An auction is scheduled in France later this week that may see this hardcore Ferrari FXX K Evo go for €6.5 million. Aside from being one of the company’s most desirable cars, it has less than 100 kilometers (62 miles) on the odometer to show for being eight years old.

Ferrari announced the FXX K in 2015, introducing it on the same platform as the hybrid LaFerrari. It featured a 6.3-liter V12 tuned to 1,050 PS (1,036 hp / 772 kW) and was otherwise rebuilt for high-end motorsports use. Worried about safety, the Maranello company never allowed owners to actually take delivery of their cars. Instead, they stood parked at the Ferrari HQ and would only se daylight when a special raving event would be announced. The owner of the car on sale claims they haven’t driven it even once, letting Ferrari drivers run the occasional test instead – hence the mileage.

Two years after the FXX K came out, an Evo variant followed with a 23% increase in downforce and a 90-kg (200-lb) reduction in curb weight. Unofficial sources suggest that only around 30 units of the original car were made, plus a dozen or so Evos.

The example seen here is reportedly in perfect condition. Another Evo went up on sale several months ago with nearly 6,000 kilometers (3,700 miles) on the odo and still fetched $6.43 million.
