Amongst all the news about EVs and small-displacement ICE cars, writing about a good old pony with a V8 under its hood can be a welcome distraction. Ford will be introducing the next generation of the Mustang tomorrow, but in the meantime, let us watch the final teaser.
The video begins with a red start/stop button that someone presses and an unmistakable V8 soundtrack starts. If you hadn’t heard the new Mustang V8 yet, make sure to listen – it is quite an experience.
As for what engines the car will ship with, opinions differ. Earlier rumors said the new ‘Stang could go AWD and/or hybrid, but the latest scoop holds that it is still the traditional ICE car with rear-wheel drive, the same layout since 1964. Ford also made a separate notion that, instead of the standard automatic transmission, stick-shift enthusiasts will be able to order a manual gearbox.
