While revealing the next generation of the Mustang (see video), Ford demonstrated a large number of pre-production sketches of the car. Some viewers noticed that one of them depicted a four-door/sedan version of the muscle car, both unprecedented and unannounced.
As it now turns out, the sketch was drawn by Christopher Stevens, one of the chief designers at Ford. He left the side view of the car nearly unchanged, except for the seemingly shorter rear end. The rear doors were drawn much smaller than the front ones.
Ford has never mentioned an intention to produce a Mustang sedan, moreover, like many other automakers, the company is actively trying to get rid of its four-door vehicle lineup due to low demand. As such, we fully expect this draft to remain on paper.
