Geely Galaxy M7 celebrates debut in China

The all-new crossover known as the Geely Galaxy M7 is set to go on sale in China in a couple of months packing a highly efficient petrol-electric powertrain manufacturer-rated at 1,730 km (1,075 miles) of range.

The car sports a muscular body with 1.2 square meters (nearly 13 square feet) of panoramic roof and a unique headlight assembly composed of 362 LEDs. It measures 4,770 x 1,905 x 1,685 mm large (186.3 x 74.4 x 65.8 inches) with a wheelbase that spans 2,785 mm (108.8 inches).

The interior is trimmed with natural leather and synthetic suede and adorned with natural wood accents. Things like RGB ambient lighting and a Flyme Sound system are available at a premium.

Power for the wheels is provided by a 1.5-liter petrol engine rated at 112 PS (110 hp / 82 kW), which receives assistance from a still-undisclosed electric system. What we do know is that the M7 can be optioned with an 18.4-kWh battery pack or a larger 29.8-kWh one. With this larger pack, it can cover 225 km (140 miles) in all-electric mode and up to the aforementioned 1,730 km in hybrid mode – at least, this is what Geely claims.

On the technological front, owners may look forward to an innovative drive mode selector called the Gold Medal Driving Control, an advanced battery life prolongation system and a power-saving system that fine-tunes the use dynamics of fuel and electricity to maximize range under all conditions.
