Hyundai Elexio e-SUV pricing and features announced

The Hyundai-Beijing joint enterprise is accepting preorders for a battery SUV known as the Elexio EO in China. It is the Korean automaker’s first model designed specifically for China, but based on an international platform. It costs from 130,000 to 150,000 Yuan based on the trim.

The car runs on the same E-GMP underpinnings as all other Hyundai EVs for the global market. At the same time, it looks completely different from them and packs different powertrains. The base spec goes as low as 217 PS (214 hp / 160 kW), and the dual-motor spec is not much better off with 317 PS (313 hp / 233 kW).

For the battery, customers can choose from two LFP packs sized 64.3 and 88.1 kWh large. The CLTC range ratings vary from 518 to 722 km (322–448 miles) depending on your particular configuration.

The Elexio is a mid-size SUV with a length of 4,615 mm (180.3 in), width of 1,875 mm (73.2 in), height of 1,675 mm (65.4 in) and wheelbase of 2,750 mm (107.4 in). The trunk isn’t bad at 506 liters of volume (17.87 cubic feet), and you can fold down the seats to get 1,540 liters (54.38 cu. ft.). 20-inch wheels, panoramic roof, heated/ventilated seats and a wireless phone charger pad are all listed under options.

In earlier news, the company revealed that the car comes equipped with a single 27-inch dash display acting as the head unit and the front passenger’s screen. The driver gets a tiny screen in front of the windshield, but no traditional gauges.

The new Hyundai Elexio is already in production and is set to ship on October 29, 2025. Considering the global platform, CarNewsChina believes it may later become available in other markets throughout the world.
