2nd-gen Infiniti QX60 debuts on official terms

Just as expected, the newborn 2022 Infiniti QX60 combines an old naturally aspirated six-banger with a new transmission.

The 3.5-liter V6 continues pumping out 299 PS (295 hp / 220 kW) and 366 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque, however, it now hooks up with a ZF nine-speed automatic transmission instead of the old CVT. Active support mounts help dampen vibrations, and the driver can use either a shift-by-wire gear selector or paddle shifters to switch among gears.

Thanks to the new gearbox, the car can now tow 20% more weight, specifically 2,721 kg (6,000 lbs). You can choose either front-wheel drive or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.

All trims come with an Infiniti InTouch multimedia system featuring a 12.3-inch display. You can pay extra to get a same-sized digital dash panel, as well as a 10.8-inch HUD.

Four-way power-adjustable front seats with heating come standard, and you can specify climate control and massage functions for a premium.

The on-board ProPilot Assist system uses a feature called Navi Link to get real-time navigation data and automatically decelerate or even completely stop the car based on the situation, and get it going again when the situation allows.
