Jeep Commander 7-seater underway to Latin America

Jeep keeps expanding its model range: shortly after launching the Grand Cherokee L, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, the company has announced a seven-seat ‘Commander’ SUV for Latin America.

Our readers from China might get the impression that the car is technically related to the 2018 Commander with only five seats, or possibly to the Grand Commander model shown on the photos. However, this is not true. Jeep says it is actually based on the Compass chassis and FCA platform extended to incorporate a third row.

The car will look a bit like its Chinese counterpart, but some elements, like the lighting at both ends, will be new.

The premiere should take place in a few days. Once the Commander reaches the market, Jeep will launch a new compact crossover SUV in Europe.
