Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk wears iconic Gulf colors

What springs to your mind when you hear the words ‘Gulf Oil’? Sure, it is the name of an international oil and gas company. Nevertheless, anyone with even a modest amount of interest towards motorsports will instantly tell you about the splendid Gulf livery consisting of tender light blue and orange shades. Such motorsport legends as the Porsche 917, Ford GT, Mclaren M20 Can-Am, and even the McLaren F1 GTR Longtail wore this dual-tone paint to a tournament. Gulf Oil has been linked with the racecar industry since the 1930s, and has been flying the Gulf colors since the late 1960s.

Well, it seems like German tuner GeigerCars wanted to find out how good of a fit the famed livery would be for a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

Aside from the wrap, the U.S.-made SUV sports 22-inch light alloy wheels painted black, a suspension lowering kit (-25mm / -1”), and an engine persuaded to deliver an additional 193 hp (144 kW) along with 128 Nm (94 pound-feet) of maximum torque. More specifically, the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 now has 900 hp (671 kW) and 1,003 Nm (740 lb×ft) at its disposal.

GeigerCars claims that the upgraded SUV doesn’t hit its speed ceiling until 312 km/h (194 mph), which is better than the stock Lamborghini Urus or Bentley Bentayga Speed can do.

Described as ‘barely used,’ this unique Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is currently on sale for €129,000.
