Kia has shared the first teaser pics of its upcoming fully electric crossover, the EV2. It will debut in Brussels, Belgium on January 9, 2026 and start around €30,000 when it reaches the showrooms.
The automaker promises us state-of-the-art tech, a practical and roomy interior and a design that “evokes emotions”. Despite most production being localized in Europe, the EV2 was designed to be competitive in its market segment.
Based on the images revealed, it sports C-shaped taillights and vertical DRLs, a setup we’ve already seen on the recently announced second-generation Kia Seltos.
All powertrain info remains to be revealed. The prevailing theory is that the EV2 will go on sale with just one front-axle motor and up to 350 km (217 miles) of range per charge. A two-motor version might become available later with a GT badge and a 55-kWh battery pack sourced from the current EV3. This one should be able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in around five seconds.
